A well-developed and well-labeled hiking and cycling network invites all hikers and cyclists to easy or challenging tours. Thereby the landscape has plenty to offer: this range from the unique natural landscape of the juniper heathland to the volcanic Sternberg or to walking or cycling tours along the Groß Lautertal valley. Or better still experience a hike through the “solar system”. The planetary way starts in Gomadingen and has a length of 9,8 km on a scale of 1:1 Mio. In fact, it is possible to travel at the speed of the light. Another especial nature trail is the natural adventure trail round the Sternberg. On a length of 3 km you follow the tracks of the wild boars and pass different stations with a lot of information and actions. The new developed “Albentdecker”-tour with versatile topics about the history of the landform as well as the generation of energy is maintained by the use of GPS. The device does not only give the pure route but informs you with excited and varying pictures and sounds also about the individual locations.
